When the UK's immigration system is overhauled in 2021, European citizens will need permission to work in the UK. It means that employees in lower skilled or lower paid jobs could be limited to one or two years’ work, and it'll take longer and cost more for higher skilled workers to secure a work permission. Conversely, the system will be easier for non-Europeans than it is at the moment.
