Soldier Surprises Waitress Mom at Her Workplace in New York

A US Army soldier stationed in Riverside, California, surprised his mother by turning up at the restaurant where she works in Rochester, New York, recently.

Adam Mazzeo filmed a video that shows him and his friends visiting the restaurant where his mother is a server on February 23. Mazzeo’s mother, Helen, passes him, then again doesn’t notice him when she comes to take the table’s order.

When she finally zeros in on Mazzeo, the two embrace, and he gives her a hoodie with “California” on it as a gift.

Mazzeo told Storyful that he was an active guard reservist stationed in Riverside and hadn’t seen his mother in eight months.
