Hello ,
Welcome to "SCIENCE THINK".

*** This video is just a quick guide about titration , don't look up for the exact colour and values . It's made just to tell you ' how to perform titration ' ,it should be done more accurately so that you can get a light pale pink colour .***

About the video :
● Titration
It is a quantitative analysis by volume used to determine the concentration of an identified analyte.Since, volume measurements play a key role in titration , therefore it is also known as Volumetric Analysis.
● Titrant
It is a solution whose concentration is known and is usually taken in a burette . It is also known as Titrator.
● Titrand
It is a solution whose concentration is not known and is also known as Analyte, which is usually taken in a conical flask .
● Least Count
It is the smallest mass/volume, you can weigh/measure in weighing balance or from a burette .
Least Count of Weighing Balance = 0.0001g
Least Count of Burette = 0.1mL
• We do not write the burette readings as 10 or 20 . Always write as 10.0 mL or 20.0 mL because burette gives readings upto first decimal place (least count is 0.1ml).
● Parallax Error
It is an error which is introduced when the reading is noted down from different angles.
• The right way of noting down the reading is to look at it perpendicularly .
● Meniscus
• For Colourless : We see the lower meniscus for colourless solution .
• For Coloured : We see the upper meniscus as the lower meniscus is not visible . But in pale colour solution we can see lower meniscus.
● Indicator
It indicates the completion of reaction by a change in colour which is visible to human eye .
● Equivalence Point
This is the point when the reaction is stoichiometrically balanced and completed .
● End Point
It is the drop more than equivalence point .
End point indicates that the reaction is complete by a change in colour .
