One week as free the death of Queen front man Freddie Mercury, Brian May And Roger Taylor appear on the morning breakfast show TVAM

Interviewed by Mike Morris and Kathryn Holloway. They are there to raise awareness of Aids and to put the record straight on the lies told in the press about Freddie’s life.
the band had just released Bohemian Rhapsody / These Are The Days Of Our Lives Single to raise money for Aids charity Terrence Higgins Trust

They are asked when they knew Freddie was ill. Brian says they knew something was wrong and it had been about the years that they knew.

In the second part of the interview the big question we all asked. What on earth is the comedy magician Paul Daniels doing being part of the conversation. It’s quite obvious he wasn’t a fan and probably not that familiar with Queen.
