Rock Tumbling for beginners, using Aluminium Oxide grits and save money on your tumbling.

Silica carbide grits here in the UK are the main grits used for rock tumbling. They are however expensive! Aluminium oxide is also an abrasive grit is readily available and much cheaper, but is it as good?
In this video in my national geographic tumbler I tumble a barrel of beach pebbles using nothing but Aluminium oxide grits and powder from start to finish and at the end show you the results.
The performance of the Aluminium oxide at the polishing stage surprised even me!
