I have been lucky enough to start at a young age and thought it would be interesting to break down how I generated my first million from every significant job, gig and business starting at the age of 13. Breaking down every year, showing the compounding effects and sharing my journey.

13 Years Old:
I had been working on a farm for $6.25 an hour, shoveling, lifting, and sweating for $50 a day. I earned $2,000 in the few months I worked there.
I racked my brain on how I could possibly earn more per hour and decided I would literally do anything to earn more so I made some flyers stating I would do any labor work for $15/hr. This eventually turned into a small landscaping company making $2,000 in the first summer. Although I didn't realize at the time this was the start of an entrepreneurial life (More on that company here: https://youtu.be/cpXFJHJDT_s).
Age 13 Revenue: $3,000
Total Revenue: $3,000

14 Years Old:
I kept at the landscaping company and grew it slightly from the previous year doing $3,000 in the 2nd summer.
Age 14 Revenue: $3,000
Total Revenue: $6,000

15 Years Old:
Again grew the landscaping company slightly by adding a few more accounts. $4,000 that summer.
Age 15 Revenue: $4,000
Total Revenue: $10,000 (1% the way to a million)

16 Years Old:
-I added a few sources of income this year. First I picked up a gig for a few hours a week as a janitor cleaning a daycare for $15/hr. I loved that gig, I was there by myself and got to walk around this big building at night cleaning and signing Adele at the top of my lungs. This job enabled me to make money in the winter. I made $2,000 from this in the first year.
-A second addition I made the the 2nd half of being 16 is I started a small sports supplementation company. I was very into sports and wanted to be able to take supplements that I knew wouldn't have banned substances, so I made my own. I reached out to bulk suppliers and a nutritional scientist took it upon himself to help me formulate a pre-workout that would be effective and tasted good. I sold this in person and online. In the first 6 months this did $2,400 in sales.
-I still kept the landscaping business and it was now doing $5,000 in the summer. This increase was largely due to taking on more lawn mowing clients which meant the difference between me making $15/hr and $40/hr.
Age 16 Revenue: $9,400
Total Revenue: $19,400

17 Years Old
-Singing Janitor Job: $2,500
-Supplement Company: Average $400/month ($4,800 that year)
-Landscaping: $6,000
Age 17 Revenue: $13,300
Total Revenue: $32,700

18 Years Old:
Just before turning 18 I moved away to college and this meant a lot of changes to my business life. I ran track, had a full schedule of classes, and had meets on the weekend so most business related activity had to be put on hold. I still kept the small supplement company but it scaled back a bit to $300/month ($3,600 that year). No more singing janitor job. No more landscaping company. Looking back this was probably the least productive year of my life.
Age 18 Revenue: $3,600
Total Revenue: $36,300

19 Years Old:
I dropped out of college and moved to Arizona from Minnesota to get out of my comfort zone. In the first few months while figuring out what I was going to do I spent a TON of time reading. I figured if I wasn't going to go to school I needed to self teach. I worked a few odd jobs earning me around $500. Still had the supplement company side hustle doing a couple hundred a month. And I got a job as a moved for $14/hr that earned me around $3,000. While I was working as a mover I started a pool cleaning business that was VERY slow to start (I got zero clients in the 1st month). Luckily, I eventually cracked that marketing nut and started picking up clients allowing me to quit my moving job in a short period of time. I grew this to 50 accounts however I was only really able to grow the pool cleaning business for 4-5 months before I new opportunity arose. I was offered to purchase the failing moving company I used to work at. After much deliberation I decided to make the jump, Invested every dollar I had and was now in the moving business. The first month we only did $5,000 but things grew exponentially, doing $510,000 in the first calendar year.
Age 19 Revenue: $426,000
Total Revenue: $462,300

20 Years Old:
-The rocket of growth in the moving company made me shut down the supplement company.
-I still owned the pool business which did $48,000 this year.
-The moving company continued to grow and I decided to open locations in Utah and Texas 2 months after turning 20. These companies did $821,000 that year.
Age 20 Revenue: $869,000
Total Revenue: $1,331,300
I finally cracked that million dollar nut at 20! Around 7.5 years in the making.
