Hello and thank you for watching the How-to Plumbing channel. And I would also like to give thanks and shout out to Santiflush and their representatives.
I got an e-mail from one of the Santiflush representatives asking me if I would like to do a video on their Santiflush toilet, I replied with an email sure I would love to.
They e-mail me back asking for my address and they sent out the Santiflush toilet and I got started.
First, I started of unboxing all the Santiflush toilets and parts they had delivered to me, The toilet grinder and pumping system, the toilet bowl and tank, and the extension flush tube.
Almost everything needed to install the new up flush toilet, and did have to buy a few more things to do what I really needed to do and make this video very effective, But that’s ok the
Santiflush toilet and grinder pump were free thanks to the people over at Santiflush. Just one reminder, if you’re going to take on this project. I would recommend connecting the tank to the bowl first just a heads up and you will find out why it’s time to connect the water lines. Ok with that in mind, let’s get started. Before they even sent out the Santiflush toilet out to me, I had the perfect spot in mind to install the up-flush toilet. You can really install this toilet almost anywhere in your home, basement, or garage easily. The spot I pick was under my home down into my work area where I keep
All my plumbing and Yard tools, perfect now I don’t have to run up into the house and track dirt thru the home now I can just go straight to my work area Awesome. I started with the Santiflush grinder
Pump and put it into the place where I felt better. What is the Grinder pump? The grinder pump is where all the waste in the toilet is discharged to ground up and then flush up to a sewer drain pipe No higher than 15’ feet up vertical and no longer than 100’ away horizontally. These types of toilets have been out for quite a few years now, but you would think they just came out with them. That’s how far behind some of the plumbing codes are behind. I have seen this toilet before, but never really gave it too much thought and that was only because of the plumbing codes and I wasn’t sure if this was the type of toilet that would be code approved. And that is one of the only drawbacks that I could see with this type of toilet. I can see some areas, allowing this type of toilet to be installed and approved, but I’m not sure about other areas. This would do the same for many of the new plumbing products that they have out. Yes, they're great products, but the plumbing codes have not caught up with the new plumbing technology and. I feel that the consumers are missing out on a lot of great products like this one. Anyway, I feel that this is a great awesome toilet and there are so many great ways this toilet can be used and it’s much more versatile than the older conventional toilet’s and it’s time we start impressing the future more. Let me know how you guys feel about this toilet and any of the new plumbing technology this has come out and that will be out soon.
