The Accessibility of Beauty Treatments | INSIDE SILICONE: Jameela Jamil x Gaines Blasdel

In the final interview for this series, I chat with Gaines Blasdel, a research associate at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. In the third interview, I chat with Gaines Blasdel, a research associate at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He tells me about his focus on health insurance for LGBTQ+ people and access to gender-affirming surgery, and what an impact this can have. As more and more individuals gain access to trusted healthcare providers, they'll no longer have to put their lives at risk by going to non-medical providers.

ABOUT THE SERIES
In the limited series 'INSIDE SILICONE,' Jameela interviews guests about silicone, a material used in beautification and reconstruction procedures. The series is meant to break stigmas, educate about the dangers of liquid (AKA "loose") silicone, and help us all become better allies to disadvantaged people who often have to use liquid silicone because they can't access proper health care or proper silicone implants.
