Raccoon Kits encounter Dad and more......

LONG POST and VIDEO: This is probably the best video I've made showing the interaction between the Raccoon kits, their mom, dad and some skunks in a more natural environment than the patio. The microphone on the cam can pick up a flea farting at 50 yards. You'll hear voice and laughing, that's coming from a park 400-500" away. WATCH the background, lots going on especially up near the wall post. Time markers of highlights list below.

Back Story:
Back around May 2020 mama raccoon, Spot, have four kits. One died, the other three are still alive. They are the "Knuckleheads" AKA "The Pep Boys" Manny , Mo & Jack. You can go back in my videos and find plenty with them as the stars. We got to know each other well. Well, Mo, turned out to be the female and at the very end of July 2021 she got pregnant. It was then I learned pregnant females want nothing to do with the males, her brothers and she attacked them on 7/27/21. She then became, Trigger, because she was triggered easily.

Jack somewhere in between this time lost his right eye. He became One Eyed Jack. He usually hangs with Manny, and he does real well, trust me! Move on to November 2022, the kits entered the world on July 4th, 2022 at 4:52 am after mom had made 3 prior visits to make sure I had a safe place. (I need to post that video still). On 9/24/22 the kits first encountered Jack and Manny. I have never seen any interaction between any kits and any males. Mom raises them on her own. The kits being curious, "MOM, who is this?" soon discovered that Jack was daddy. Later on when the kits were away Jack and mama well had sex as Manny watched for a few seconds then left, poor Manny. Man are they animals! LOL

This video is from their second encounter and I thought it was even more special. Mom is being very tolerant with the kits hanging out with daddy, but she's not pleased. But the kits are still curious and want to be around him. Lots of conflicts here, but this video shows you how they interact. Enjoy!

This is why I love these critters. LOve seeing them interact, be happy and enjoying themselves. Overall all the critters get along great except within their own kind for the most part. Sure the kits have been sprayed, they learn. I even saw one smell then kiss a skunk the other night, I mean WTH! LOL Thanks for watching and please share!
