How to Make a Felted Pincushion: with Beginner Hand Embroidery

I'm using Bonnie's Learn with Me Hand Embroidery video series to learn hand embroidery myself. My first attempt will be in embellishing this needled felted egg pincushion. The felting takes the most time, but the embroidery stitches I used are very basic and easy to learn. I do give you some tips about embroidering in a round felt object as opposed to fabric - how to hide your knots, etc.

Once you're finished, you'll have a beautiful, handmade pincushion you can use in your craft or sewing room, or even give someone as a gift. Alternately, this could easily be converted into an ornament with a little ribbon. I hope you enjoy my first pincushion tutorial!
