PAINTING TIMELAPSE || Expressive Portrait in Oil - "Pause"

It took a few months of waiting for layers to dry and staring at it until everything looked slightly off, but I'm going to call this one done (for now.) I started this piece before the whole pandemic started, but somehow it feels even more relevant to me now. After being stuck inside for so long, just a few moments of standing in the fresh air in the backyard and listening to the trees rustling in the breeze has become so grounding. I've been struggling with anxiety and just feeling overwhelmed and exhausted with everything going on, but the moments I can take a pause and let go are really important.

Remember that we are quarantining ourselves not only for our own health, but other's lives as well! Please stay home if you can so that we can get through this thing faster and save lives :)
