Silver Ink Pen Comparison With Best Cleaner Choice. Fisher Space Pen - Uni-ball - Amazon Refills!!!

Comparing silver ink pens used for upholstery vinyls and leathers. The three pens tested are the Fisher Space pen, Uni-ball and Amazon 100 pack refills. As the space pen would be considered the standard in the interior industry. I found the ink to be lighter in color. With the Uni-ball being the darkest. The refills being just a little lighter than the Uni-ball. For writing purposes my first choice would be the Amazon 100 pack refills. I like how visible the markings are as well as the price. Downside is, they don’t last as long and the ink smears a little. Uni-ball would come in second. I like that I can pick them up locally in a pinch and it has the darkest ink. Downside is the white pen is harder to remove. So only 2 pens will work out of the 3 pack. And last being the industry standard Fisher Space pen. So for me the pen just didn’t mark as dark as the other pens. And I don’t have much call for marking things upside down, underwater or in extreme temperatures.
Now for the cleaners. I used Mr. clean Magic eraser (original). On all pen markings both on vinyl and leather. The three cleaners used were, water, 3M adhesive cleaner and Simple Green. My standard is the 3M cleaner. I use this cleaner quite often. Unfortunately it was the least effective cleaner used in the demonstration. Depending on how long the ink has been on materials both the water and Simple Green work great. Always start with with water and if it needs to be more aggressive switch to the Simple Green.
