Flakiness is due to the build in screen recording app apparently. Thanks Konstantin M for your comment...I tried it without screen recording on and it works fine. Seems like a weird conflict...
PG updated the Spark app to 1.7.2 yesterday and added tone cloud sharing...and a TON of flakiness!
