Shoesing Awards 2018 by Alexander Nurulaeff

Probably the most important and innovative shoe event ever. Analyzing the work done by the young novice, and observing and talking to the audience of the event I can say that there is definitely a huge interest for customized shoes, but unfortunately hardly anyone still understands the difference between colored shoes and Patina. Patina is an Art, not just covering a pair of neutral colored shoes with one or two layers of different color. You must analyze the shape of the shoes, develop the main colors and the infinite secondary shades.  Patina must enhance the beauty of the shoes, rather than just making them look bizarre and unusable.  To be able do well such a complicated job, many skills are needed such as: artistic background, great sensibility for colors and shades, a lot of imaginative power to foresee the final result. A lot of experience, patience and self confidence are required; all of these features need years and years of practice.  The competitors of this first contest of coloration of the footwear are all young and full of goodwill; I'm sure, that if they keep on researching, practicing with different colors and types of leather, with time they can improve their artistic skills.  I hope that the organizers of this event will do everything possible to keep doing Shoesing Awards, seeking for new talents, to give them a chance to make their dreams come true. I, as the President of the jury, I will do everything possible to give the best advice to all these young talents. Many thanks to the organizers of the Shoesing Awards 2018 and to all those who have enjoyed this event. I hope we meet again in Moscow in 2019! 

All this was made possible thanks to an incredible person, who conceived and organized this event: Mr. Aleksey Eremeev. He is a young gentleman full of brilliant ideas, willing to work and create something really useful and beautiful. I want to thank him personally for everything. I hope he can keep Shoesing Awards at a top level.
