Joe Wong wants to disarm the US and China with comedy

The comedian Joe Wong wants to bridge the gap between the United States and China through comedy.

After immigrating to the US in 1994 and getting a PhD in Biochemistry at Rice University, Wong decided to try his hand at comedy while living in Boston.

His new career took off after he made an appearance on the David Letterman show and hosted a roast of Vice President Joe Biden in 2010.

Now, Wong hosts his own hit show in China, and still appears on TV in the US.

We speak with the comedian about what it’s like to make people laugh across cultures and how comedians can help bring the US and China together. Watch the video above.
