Gold Number Two for Otcenas

Defends Title from 2015
Martin Otcenas of Slovakia successfully defended his 2015 SBWCH pursuit, while claiming his second Gold medal of the 2016 Championships; the Slovak, with three penalties on the day crossed the finish 34:26.2.The Silver medal went to Russia's Sergey Klyachin with two penalties, 28.1 seconds back. Oleksander Zhyrnyi of Ukraine took the Bronze with two penalties, 48.6 seconds back.

Karol Dombrovski of Lithuania was fourth, with three penalties, 1:28.6 back; fifth went to the another Ukrainian Vladimir Semakov, with three penalties, 1:36.7 behind, while Bulgarian Krasimir Anev climbed up from the 28th to sixth place at the finish, with two penalties 1:49.2 back.

Wire-to-Wire Win

During the whole competition Otcenas stayed in front, not allowing his rivals ghe chance to catch him.
