After one grid being blocked for months, it was cleaned. Well done to whoever got 'down and dirty'. It's a filthy job but someone has to do it.

As for putting gloves on and putting your hand up these drainpipes, that carries health risks and was the wrong advice. If someone punctured skin and came into contact with the contents of the drainpipe it could be life threatening. Whoever cleans it. Take care.

Sadly, another grid seems to have the same issue. Some tenants are using the balconies as dog toilets and allowing faeces and urine to go down the grid. This runs down the drainpipes and spills over the paving. It also raises welfare issues for any dogs. Pet lovers here will not stand for neglect or abuse.

Quarry Green Heights is becoming a 'dumping ground' in which LIVV take vulnerable tenants and see only the rent money. People don't talk to each other as much. Some might not have anyone to talk with for months.

So much for the 'age of communication'.

The govt gives many poor people on benefits just enough to kill themselves with drink and booze before they can withdraw a pension. Little wonder another shop selling alcohol is to open up in the old boxing club. We close down the kids boxing club and hand it over to someone to sell more booze.

This is insanity. We have enough places selling alcohol in Kirkby whilst the pubs are all but gone.

How many people do you know in Kirkby who died before their time through drink and/or drugs?

LIVV Housing Group workers should go on strike. Whatever they are being paid its not enough to put your hand up a gutter and pull out dog faeces.

The whole country should be on strike, apart from those whose withdrawn labour would kill people.
