Giovanni Martinelli - Amor Ti Vieta - Fedora
For halavey/perlmuth3. See, this is what I mean about Martinelli scooping. This was recorded in 1917, so he's not old. Every single note (almost) has a scoop up or down in pitch. Even the notes which are the same as the note before, he STILL scoops up!
No way did Corelli scoop as badly as this (as often, I mean)! LOL anyone show me if he did! =D
Now, that said, it was a magnificent voice. The squillo is incredible, in the same league as Corelli, MDM, and Caruso from what I hear on the tracks I own. But the glissandi/portamenti on ALL the notes drives me crazy!
