Westerman Votes for Repeal of Medical Device Tax

This week, I voted to repeal the medical device tax enacted as part of Obamacare. This tax has dampened innovation and job creation and has caused higher healthcare costs for residents across the nation. Repeal of the medical device tax is sound policy, resulting in lower health care costs for our citizens, especially the elderly and chronically ill. As our work continues in the 114th Congress, I promise to continue to fight for lower taxes and less government intrusion in the lives of citizens like you.
