Worcester Bosch R30 HE EA Fault

This describes two possible EA fault causes on a Worcester Bosch R30 HE condensing gas boiler. Blocked Heat Exchanger: Spark Electrodes & Ionisation probe. We called to a customers house with a EA fault code on her boiler, the boiler would light for 3 seconds and go out, after several attempts the boiler would lock out, displaying EA code. Other faults may lay in a condensate blockage, frozen condensate pipework, gas problem, Co2 levels (normally heat exchanger or air/gas ratio incorrect)
