Jim Brown vs. Lester Maddox: The Most Explosive Debate in TV History | The Dick Cavett Show
"In this legendary 1970 broadcast, the tension in the room reaches a breaking point as Georgia Governor Lester Maddox and NFL icon Jim Brown go head-to-head on the issue of segregation and civil rights.
What starts as a discussion on racial policy quickly devolves into one of the most infamous confrontations in late-night history. Watch the raw, unfiltered moment where ideologies clash and a defiant Maddox eventually walks off the set in frustration. This is a powerful time capsule of American history that still resonates today.
