The Dotonbori street can get a bit crowded specially at night but if you walk a little farther from the Glico man there are areas where you can explore less the crowd. Walking around this area is an experience in itself. You get to see a lot of new stuff and you can also eat street food. Just make sure to stop and stay in one place while eating as Japanese people doesn't approve of eating while walking!
