Easy Steps To Crochet This Cow Girl Hat ~ April 2025

'SATURN' Our Cow Girl Hat was made in 4 main parts for a medium sized woman. She has the male version modelled after the Fedora Hat.

Whether you are heading out to a wedding ceremony or out an actual Ranch or just love this wardrobe essential as an icing on your ensemble, this cap most definitely does bring out the sophisticated in you!

Note that this skull cap can be created in your desired size using this video as a guide

Stitches used:
🧶 Sc
🧶 Slst (surface stitch)

🧶Part 1: The Body: We worked the crown in sc (a circle in its desired size)

🧶Part 2: We extended the circle into a cup maintaining the number of stitches in the last row of the circle from part 1

🧶 Part 3: We worked the brim, mimicking and extended circle

🧶 Part 4: We worked the surface stitches alternating between the right side and the wrong side

Measurements required to work this hat are:

✔️ Head crown width
✔️ Desired length of Hat
✔️ Desired width of brim (not a body measurement but you may not want the brim to exceed the wearer's shoulders)

Beginner friendly design. Intermediate and Advanced Crochet skill levels can totally nail this.

Note that this same technique can be replicated for any size just by adjusting the measurements.
