Chehalis Lake (Canada, 2007) and Lake Lucerne (Switzerland, 1601) are excellent examples of Lake Tsunami. Lake Tsunami generate by rockfalls and landslides from steep adjacent shores or from slumps along lake bottom. This video is a physics-based simulation of these two tsunami events. A spontaneous landside spawned the Chehalis Lake wave. Lake Lucerne's tsunami was caused by slumps induced by earthquake shaking.
