Likya Yolu [2021] - SOLO Hiking in TURKEY with Tent - In this video you will see my little solo hiking trip on the Likya Yolu.
It was very interesting to see what the Likya Way really is.

So I packed my backpack (Osprey Aether Plus 100l) and went on a test ten days hike.
The beginning of April in Turkey turned out to be quite hot - up to 26 degrees during the day.
It was not hot, it would seem, but the rocks surrounding the trail are very hot and it gets very hot to go!

What I saw, climbing a little uphill along a winding road, exceeded all my expectations!

Firstly, for some reason there was practically no one on the trail (the trail, in fact, is a very extensive network) and I walked alone. Everything as i like :)

Secondly, the views from this winding mountain trail are amazing!
Sometimes he stopped and did not want to go further, he just stood and watched.

The first springs of water that I met on the Lycian Way were disappointing. But I had two liters of water to continue the hike without fear.

As I didn’t prepare and I wasn’t in the best physical shape, climbing on 1000 meters was quite difficult for me. And at some point I turned to a not very popular route. The views and the forest there were, of course, amazing, but all the soil was dug up by wild boars (as far as I later learned) and there were just a huge number of ticks. For a couple of minutes on the way I hooked 2-3 on pants and boots. I often had to stop to look around and burn them with a lighter.

The day was already over, and I really did not want to get up for the night in such a place. I had to hurry up and by the end of the day I went to the beach.
How cool it was to swim after a long day of walking!
I set up my tent right on the sand, collecting cones and twigs lying nearby for a wood stove. I made a supper of buckwheat porridge with beef and sat by the fire for a long time, listening to the sound of the waves in the dark. Real ASMR :)

The night was not as cold as I expected. I slept in an unbuttoned sleeping bag.

In the morning, having rested, I was able to fully appreciate the beauty of the wild beach on which I spent the night.
Lack of people, silence, noise of the surf, sea air - and I stayed on the beach for one more day :)
There was nowhere to rush (I replenished the supply of water from a mountain spring).

I hoped that my knee would rest and the next day I could continue my hiking trip.
In the morning, a surprise awaited me - an alarm clock in the form of such a cry of a donkey :))

Gathering up, I continued on my way. But then a disaster struck - a knee injured in childhood said that I would not go further...
Having walked in the end not very long distance during this day, I decided to stop at a cultural camp (enterprising Turkish guys organized a simple camp).

I hoped that my knee would rest and the next day I could continue my hiking trip.
In the morning, a surprise awaited me - an alarm clock in the form of such a cry of a donkey :))

Gathering up, I went to check my knee - a miracle did not happen...
I had to curtail the route and head to the starting point.
But on the other hand, I can see places where I went down the alternate route :)

The hike was not complete, but these days spent in warm and picturesque places were enough for the first time.

PS: there were no mosquitoes at all. I have not met a single snake. Scorpions were not observed either.
