Raqs al Nujum is a new dance group in Seattle that focuses on raqs sharqi ("Dance of the East/Orient" translated from Arabic, also known as "Bellydance" in English), with a focus on styles from Egypt. This group is comprised of dancers who have devoted serious study to this dance form as well as folkloric styles from the MENAHT region.
