Making a small batch of Bannock

In this video I'll cook some bannock. The recipe that I used was very simple. I usually make bannock in ziplock bags using the dry ingredients so I can grab them when I go to the woods. Once out there I just add water and oil if I have it. It tastes similar to a thick tortilla in my opinion. Enjoy!

1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (approx) water
1 tablespoon olive oil - optional
½ teaspoon sugar - optinal

Measure flour, salt, and baking powder into a bowl. Stir to mix. Pour olive oil and water over flour mixture. Stir until it's not sticky.

Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface, and knead gently about 10 times. Pat into a flat circle 3/4 to 1 inch thick.

Cook in a cast iron pan over medium heat or bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
