Democratic Republic of the Congo Army Discovers Rebel Weapons Cache in Ituri

The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) have intensified operations against armed groups in Ituri Province, with a new weapons cache discovered in Jingo village, located in the Mambisa Chiefdom of Djugu Territory, officials said on Sunday. A statement from the army indicated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle illegal armed groups operating in the region. The recovered cache is being examined, and security forces have increased patrols in surrounding areas to prevent further militant activity.
