Youth Business Mentorship Program (YBMP) Overview

Common Wealth Development has been supporting area teens with training and enriching first job experiences since 1991. With the current economic climate, the unemployment rate for the nation’s teens is approximately triple that of adults. Our Youth-Business Mentoring Program helps level the playing field. In our program, you will learn different topics such as job interview preparation, resume building, financial literacy, and more! Snacks are provided as well!

*Mainly communities of color, with most communities consisting of black and brown folks, were disqualified from getting direct support from the federal government to purchase homes.
Green = A community with the best chance of receiving a loan to buy a house
Blue = A community with a good chance of receiving a loan to buy a house
Yellow = A community with a low chance of receiving a loan to buy a house
Red = A community with the lowest chance of receiving a loan to buy a house
