Electro Blues Takes Over Brighton!

We're bringing the Electro Blues back to Caravanserai on May 24th for a night of incredible music! This event is part of the Brighton Fringe festival, promising a unique blend of vintage remix sounds. Don't miss this local news highlight with PJ the Chairman and Nick Hollywood! Legendary bluesman Son of Dave is headlining this one-night revival of Brighton’s Electro Blues club night.

The team behind regularly sold-out club nights WHITE MINK (The Old Market) and ELECTRO BLUES (The Green Door Store) return to this year's Brighton Fringe with a Bank Holiday Sunday of vintage rhythm & blues, country soul and bluestronica. Expect a high-energy blend of remixed blues and country — where stripped-back tradition collides with modern rhythms, from foot-stomping Americana to gritty electro-blues.

Headlining is Son of Dave, the one-man blues force (Benjamin Darvill, formerly of Crash Test Dummies), whose pioneering looping harmonica, beatbox grooves, stomping rhythms and growling vocals have earned cult status — from soundtracking Breaking Bad and Preacher to appearances on Later... with Jools Holland.

Support comes from Brighton’s own Country Ties, a four-piece of vocal, guitar, double bass and fiddle, delivering a lively mix of country, bluegrass and Americana packed with barn-dance energy.

Between sets, DJs including Nick Hollywood (Electro Blues / White Mink) and The Chairman spin vinyl blues, roots rarities and vintage cuts.

Sunday 24th May. Early start, early finish — the perfect way to close the Fringe weekend.
