Post pounder - Chain drive, free fall DIY

This isn't much of a "How to" video but will give you an idea in the event you attempt one.

If you have a smaller tractor and have limited hydraulic flow, this is a solution. The weight is 840lb and cycle time is only a couple seconds. Average post goes in 4 feet in about 12 hits.

You can skip to the end to see the pounder working.

Almost everything was purchased at https://www.princessauto.com/en/ Total cost including steel was about 1500. Compare this to a commercial model at over 10k.
