Ferromex Trio on the BNSF

Leased power from Mexico, in the form of Ferromex units, used to be a regular occurrence on BNSF trains in the Twin Cities. Having three on a single train was a rare event! In this video, we'll see and chase three Ferromex ES44s on a loaded all rail iron ore train from the Twin Cities, down the Mississippi River, and into Wisconsin.

We start off chasing the Mexican power at Union Jct as the train claws as the stiff grade. After this, we'll see it coasting past Hoffman Ave, racing by Newport, and sounds its horn in Prescott as it comes across the Saint Croix and into Wisconsin. The final scene is in Bay City, WI as it screams down the main and drops the green signals to red. In the closing scene, the DPU is seen shoving hard as the train heads towards LaCrosse. These days, FXE power is rare and I haven't seen one leading yet due to a lack of PTC.
