Let's have a Look at My Four New Commodore 64s – Will They Work?
I recently bought four different Commodore 64s (two breadbins and two C64Cs). They were sold as broken. In this video, I have a first look at all of the four machines. I use a self-made dead test and diagnostic cartridge to test each of the machine.
Also, this is the first video of my new channel, which will be dedicated to retro computing (e.g. Commodore and similiar machines) and gaming. Other topics, which we will cover on this channel, are retro programming (e.g. games), tinkering with retro computers, and programming of emulators of retro computers. In the next upcoming videos, I will have a look at the broken C64s and try to repair them ...
Finally, this video is a first test of my new video recording equipment. Also, the channel branding is still in its "development phase", so many things may change in the near future :-).
Currently, I plan to release one to two videos per month.
Besides this channel, I also maintain a channel dedicated to cryptology ("cryptography for everyone"), which you can visit here: https://www.youtube.com/c/CrypTool2/
You can find the PCBs for the dead test and diagnostic cartridge, which I created for myself and used in this video, here: https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/C64_DEAD_TEST_781220_and_DIAGNOSTIC_586220_CARTRIDGE_TOGETHER.html
