Shadow To My Light · The Untamed MV

I think this drama told the greatest love story without any romance at all. I'm still on the fence about whether I'm mad about it. On one end, it sucks that it has to be censored in the first place. I would've liked it better if the producers or scriptwriter have the creative freedom to choose and have it be THEIR choice whether to keep it subtle or not. I don't like how it's just not allowed. I'm sure a lot of fans would've liked the full-blown BL story. On the other side, because there's no standout romance moments, it makes us focus more on the subtle action and dialogue they had towards each other.

I started this drama last year but quickly got lost in all the characters and plot, so I dropped it. I restarted it again earlier this year and I was disappointed in myself for almost missing such a great drama. You really need to pay attention when watching this drama because it's very easy to lose the story. The drama starts in the middle of the plot so it's a bit confusing at first.

Drunk Lanzhan is my favorite. Paper doll Weiying makes me happy. Ah'yuan has me weak. And the Wen siblings give me warm sunny vibes.

I debated for a long time whether to make this video. This drama has been out for a while now so it's no longer new and there are already a lot of edits on it. It just wouldn't get out of my head. It keeps popping up on my feed and I kept thinking about it. I had to make this video for my own sanity.

This is one of my low stress edits. I edited at my own pace and didn't really put too much importance on how the story plays out in this video. I just placed scenes where I wanted them but that's not to say that a tremendous amount of work didn't go into this video. It took a very long time to finish this. There really wasn't a song that fit this drama, so I combined two to make my own. I wanted the light moments as well as the dark ones. The lyrics doesn't really go with it, but the songs convey the mood I wanted. I also realize the text went fast, but I had a lot of ground to cover.
