20160509 Katie OK tornado

This unusually visible tornado formed from an explosive updraft pulse on the south side of a forming supercell. It was amazing to see this tornado morph from multi- to single-vortex and then turn violent with horizontal vortices rising upward into the cloud base. Unfortunately the tornado destroyed households, a pecan farm and took one life.
