The Test Mule – ½” Spacer Setup Results (3/8 + 1/8 Washer)

Back with another Test Mule update. This time we’re running a 3/8 spacer with a 1/8 washer for a total of 1/2 inch preload.

I did make a video in between, but I had some issues because I didn’t completely unload the BBs before testing. Lesson learned. This video is a clean, proper test.

Here are the 8 shots over the chrono:

Average: 325.1 FPS
High: 331.2 FPS
Low: 314.2 FPS
Extreme Spread: 17 FPS
Standard Deviation: about 5.5 FPS

What’s interesting is this puts the gun right about the same as the setup with no spacer and only the 7/64 air tube mod. That tells us something important — more spacer doesn’t automatically mean more power. Testing matters.

In the next video, I’ll do a final “settled in” test to see where it truly levels out. By then it’ll have all new furniture installed, including a laser that’s been sighted in very well.
