11/25/2018 Salina, KS - Intense Blizzard Closes I-70

Dramatic footage taken on an eight-mile stretch of I-70 from Exit 252 in Salina west to Exit 244 where State Troopers closed down I-70 and redirected vehicles back into Salina. Along this stretch, extremely intense winds combined with incredible snowfall rates lead to zero visibility driving along the interstate. Winds gusted up to 60mph at times causing blinding blowing snow. A semi truck jack-knifed in the median just east of the I-135 interchange and crews worked in the extreme conditions to try and clear the wreck. Meanwhile another vehicle spunoff into the median at Exit 244 as K-DOT crews actively closed down the interstate.
