How to create a squiggly sun using VectorScribe 🌞

Today, we’re going to create a squiggly sun as an engraving on this ring!

1️⃣ First, select the Dynamic Shapes tool and select the star.

2️⃣ Draw a star and use the up arrow key to increase the number of star points.

3️⃣ Next, open the PathScribe panel.

4️⃣ With your star shape selected, press the “Select all handles on selected paths” button. Then using the flyout menu, we’re going to turn all of the ghost handles into real handles. In other words, we’re adding adjustable Bézier handles since these new handles lie directly along the straight paths.

5️⃣ Now when we move one handle in normal-rotation mode, all of the others move with it. Use the C key to toggle between the normal and counter-rotation modes.

And just like that, we’ve created quite a complex shape with very little effort!
