Addictive Drums = INDIE ADPak SGS kit Demo (by Saša "Sale" Petković)

XLN Audio's Addictive Drums (AD) is the best drum plug-in existing, period.

In this video, Croatian drummer Saša "Sale" Petković is testing the Indie ADPak, specifically the SGS (Svenska Grammofon Studion) drumset configuration. ADPak is simply XLN Audio's term for a package of Addictive Drums preset kits, configurations and sounds, which hardworking AD people are putting together for drummers' and producers' professional use right out of the box.

The Indie ADPak features BEAUTIFUL sounds recorded on an ICE Custom Shop Drum kit, using vintage microphones and recording gear (recorded on analog tape). You can hear how gorgeous it sounds in this demo. It also looks stunning too, however - if anyone knows how I could easily display a .bmp screenshot in a YT video clip, without losing quality - pls let me know. :-)

Indie SGS kit is... well, as good as you can hear on this recording. If you set it up in your practicing/recording studio, you can opt out for playing the sound on speakers or amp, and/or having a pair of quality headphones; in either case you will be immediately impressed with the quality of sounds and authenticity of "feel". The XLN Audio folks have successfully avoided the usual practice of electronic drums modules manufacturers, which most often seem to emulate stroke dynamics by deploying algorithms to simply increase/decrease the volume of one (or max. two) recorded samples. With Addictive drums, each dynamics level feel and sounds as real as with acoustic drums.

As my friends, who hear my playing via Addictive Drums, would say: "This totally sounds like acoustic drums, but without any excessive noise, rattle or detuned components." :-) Indeed, when one closes his eyes, he would get a feeling that this is the top-of-the-line drumset, impeccably tuned and recorded on a CD using the most advanced recording techniques. Well... actually it is exactly that. :-) Addictive Drums offer you the luxury of having the top-class produced drums, cymbals & percussion sounds in your home, ready for you to give it your artistic shade.
This software really made me sound my best and, at the same time, always makes me want more and returning to my electronic drumset again and again and again. This thing really gets you addicted.

I am using the following equipment configuration to play and record on my PC:
* Roland TD-6K electronic drum kit (with rubber pads)
* Nuendo 4 (as DAW)
* XLN Audio's Addictive Drums (THE most important piece of my gear :-)
* WaveLab6 (for mastering)
