Keil Kraft Caprice

This is a video of the Keil Kraft Caprice, a 51 inch wingspan free flight contest model glider designed in the 50's. I had one of these models when I was 12 years old and lost it in a huge thermal! This particular model has been converted to radio control with a small electric motor in the nose to give a climb to soaring altitude, so not as clean lined as the original, but it does fly well. The model penetrates remarkably well into a breeze which is surprising considering it's light weight.
