South Shore on the North Shore - DSS&A 101 on the NSSR

Over the fall of 2021, DSS&A 101 made several trips up the Lakefront Division of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. These trips were to celebrate the completion of the "Molly Fair" Coach, which had been lovingly restored by Marty C. Fair over several years.

The power for this trip was a June 1941 graduate of Schenectady, New York's American Locomotive Company, the DSS&A 101, an RS1. The locomotive is one of several surviving DSS&A RS1's, but the only one in South Shore paint. This trip was especially rare, as in the past the 101 had been sparingly used for photo charters and switching.

Watch the action as we take you along the Lakefront Division in traditional fall weather in South Shore on the North Shore - DSS&A 101 on the NSSR.
