Congress stimulus negotiations are continuing today and tomorrow after President Trump signed a 2-day stopgap bill allowing Congress more time to negotiate coronavirus relief. Although from one report it seems like President Trump was in favor of $1200 or $2000 stimulus checks but was talked out of it by white house aides. White house economic adviser Larry kudlow says president trump will sign whatever amount mitch mcconnell wants. On the other hand President-elect Joe Biden said that he is ready to sign the Covid relief package on day one of his presidency. GOP Senator Ron Johnson on Friday blocked an effort to pass a second round of stimulus checks, saying we don’t need bigger stimulus checks right now. Sen. Bernie Sanders defended why american citizens need $1200 stimulus checks right now. He said One trillion dollars for billionaires. One $1,200 check for the working class. That is immoral and that has got to change. Senator Ayanna Pressley said $600 stimulus checks are an "insult" to Americans struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrew yang tweeted Congress should have passed #StimulusChecks months ago - people need help. I love $1,200 or $2,000 a month. $600 won’t last long.
