To kick off our LA content, we did a 1on1 interview with 20 year old North Carolina rapper, Toosii. Toosii first rose to fame under the moniker, KingToosii, releasing singles “Lost” and “Dreams” on SoundCloud and his debut EP, “Blessings” on Spinrilla. He quickly built himself a following on social media and managed to grab the attention of South Coast Music Group. Fast forward to 2020, Toosii has been busy making moves onto Billboard charts, signed a deal with Capitol Records and released his most recent project, “Poetic Pain”, which featured the popular track with chartbreaking R&B singer, Summer Walker, “Love Cycle”. We met up with the young rapper to talk about his past being homeless, not having many features on his album but possibly saving one for Drake, getting booed off stage at the Summer Walker tour in Toronto, his friendship with Lil Durk after being brought out on stage at Homecoming in Raleigh North Carolina, if he watches Indian Matchmaker on Netflix, his thoughts on Aparna, and we even asked for some pointers on how to get more females to watch KTO's content.
