Does my family know i'm depressed abroad? This is a question asked by many people who are living abroad, far from their families, far from their support systems, and truly so depressed. Many people who relocate to a different city or country may be experiencing a better or different lifestyle, but when your family is not around to share that with you, it can leave you rather depressed.

Friends and family often see the flashy side of things, make requests and demands for money, etc. but they often forget to check on how their people are really doing and as a result, they don't know if/when their loved one is depressed. Instead of people asking themselves "does my family know I'm depressed abroad" I urge all family members who have someone living in the diaspora to continue being that pillar of strength for them.
