Smosh was originally a sketch comedy duo and were a dominant force in the early days of youtube. Their videos were extremely successful and each generated millions of views. As a result, Smosh became the single most subscribed to channel on the platform multiple different times. However, their channel went downhill after they a company called defy media took over their channel which resulted in one of their members leaving. Defy Media then went bankrupt. Currently, Smosh only gets about 5-10 percent of the views they used to. This is the rise and fall of Smosh.
