How Much Detail Can My Design Have When Using Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)

The real question here is how much time do you want to spend weeding in your heat press business? When it comes to making artwork to be cut on vinyl I personally don't want any lines smaller then 3pt. Anything 1pt or 2pt has the potential to be pulled off as you weed. Sometimes they will sometimes they won't.

I really want to snatch the outer layer off then quickly go through the inner layer of my design if there is one or 2 spots I have to watch that's fine but more then that makes the task tedious. If I have 50 little parts I need to go in and pick out that is also tedious.

I have recently switched from non sticky back vinyl to sticky back which is better if you have a ton of detail. If you hear the sticky back vinyl it's almost like you are pealing not sticky back so that's a tip for those using it.
