Today we’ll be discussing neanderthals, penises, and dragons. Yes, really.
NOTE- when I compare humans and Neanderthals, I am referring to modern humans VS Neanderthals. We are all Hominids, but my convention was that humans (homo sapiens) are a subset of Hominids, just like Neanderthals.
CORRECTION ABOUT THE NEANDERTHAL DNA:
I apparently misread the graph, taking the y-axis to mean "percentage of DNA differences" when it's actually something a bit more subtle. Neanderthals and humans DO have more DNA in common than do humans and chimps. That said, the data still fucks this lady's argument because the graph DOES show, from the x-axis, that human-to-human sets have much fewer variations among their DNA than do human-to-Neanderthal sets. Sorry for the hiccup ;O

The video that I’m responding to is pretty long, and the saturation of nonsense in that video is toxic- indeed, after wading through only half her feature, I’d written about ten pages for the first draft of this video’s script before deciding that I was just going to talk about some of my favorite parts.
