From Italy to a Farmer Life in The Philippines! Mirco's Bananas, banana harvesting!
Good news! Our seeds have grown and sprouted some leaves in just a few days so we started moving them to bigger pots. We recycled plastic bottles of softdrinks as pots for our seedlings. We can not move them yet directly to the garden because it has not rained for the past days and the heat during the days is becoming more and more intense. We will keep them in the balcony using recycled bottles for the meantime.

Today, I also got to experience how to harvest bananas. It is no easy task! You have to cut the banana trunk after getting the fruits so a new banana can grow. I never knew that about bananas. It’s no joke to be a farmer. These bananas are heavy and cutting them down is not as easy as you think! This makes me appreciate many little things in life during my stay here in the farm. My life in Milan is way different here but I am happier here in the Philippines. Why? This is something personal that I am sharing for the first time in this video.
