Real facts about Mozart and Salieri:
Basically, this famous rivalry comes from the movie "Amadeus", which was inspired by a theatre play which is at the same time based on a Pushkin novel and Korsakov´s Opera called Mozart and Salieri. It is in this work where it all started.
However, it is true, as I show in the video, that there are letters between Mozart and his father in which he exposes his dislike regarding Salieri´s and other italians to be in such good positions when there were many other musicians better than those who were from the country (Holy Roman Empire). Also the incident with the pupil occurred, as well as there are other letters in which Mozart believes that Salieri was involved in a boicot against him and his Opera The Magic Flute.
