Adherence to guidelines for COPD in Low- and Middle-Income Countries

This webinar provides an overview of the availability and access to COPD guidelines in some Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), with perspectives from Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Latin America. LMICs bear the highest burden of COPD, accounting for up to 80 percent of global mortality. Furthermore, most cases of COPD are undiagnosed and under treated in these regions. Guideline-based care is known to improve outcome, but several factors influence adherence to guidelines.
